The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris has presented 2024 budget of over N250 billion to the State House of Assembly.
Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor made the disclosure in a statement made available to Journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
Presenting the budget before the house members in Birnin Kebbi, the governor said: "The proposed 2024 Kebbi State budget of Infrastructural Development and People Empowerment is in the sum of N250,134,091,757:01 Kobo only.
"Of the proposed revenues, statutory allocation coming from the federation account are estimated in the sum of N79,254,269,350:00 only. Internally generated revenues are estimated in the sum of N18,387,341,791:26 Kobo only."
He said the recurrent expenditure accounted for N90,640,286,421:53 Kobo only, adding that the recurrent expenditure was broken down to personnel costs, N35,961,467,843:98 Kobo only, while overhead costs stood at N54,678,818,577:55 Kobo only.
The governor sought the cooperation of the house in doing a good and thorough job on the budget and ensure speedy passage to enable its implementation by January 2024.
Idris urged Kebbi people to sustain the support to the policies and programmes of the present administration to pave way for rapid growth and development across the state.
