The Nigerian Customs Service Kebbi Area Command have generated a revenue of ninety nine million, two hundred and eighty two thousand, five hundred and forty seven naira (N99. 282,547).
This was disclosed to Newsmen on Monday 14, August, during a press briefing at the Customs Area Command Headquarters by Dr. Ben Oramalugo, Customs Area Controller, Kebbi Command.
The revenue was generated in the month of July alone, which is 113% of the Command Monthly revenue target.
The Command had made twenty eight seizures (28) within the period under review which includes:
1. 138 packs of Tramaking/tramadol (225mg)
2. 81 tablet size of cannabis sativa
3. Used Toyota Camry 2007 model as means of conveyance
4. 46 bags of foreign parboiled rice of 50kg each and 40 bags of rice of 25kg each
5. 88 bales of secondhand clothing
6. 4,200 litres of PMS and 525 litres of diesel.
7. 37 kegs of vegitable oil, among others.
The Duty Paid Value of the seized items is fifty one million, four hundred and ninety nine thousand, three hundred and fourteen naira (N51.499,424)
Cannabis sativa and hard drugs worth twenty two Million, one hundred and thirthy two thousand, seventy seven naira (N22,132,077) seized by the Customs Kebbi Area Command had been officially handed over to the Commander National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA Kebbi state Command.
