Wife of the Kebbi State Governor Hajia Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris has assured all orphans and vulnerable children in the state that this administration will continue to support them to live better lives and become future leaders of Nigeria.
Nasare, who revealed that she was usually moved by the plight of orphans and vulnerable children in the society, gave the assurance today when she paid a visit to the orphanage at the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development as well as the Remand Home.
The wife of Kebbi Governor, in company of wives of the Honorable Members of the State House of Assembly, and the wives of top government functionaries, maintained that this administration would continue to give all the necessary support to the orphanage of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in other to reach out to more orphans and vulnerable children in the state.
She explained that the reason she showed special interest in these children was to support them to become better citizens and future leaders of the country.
“I want to tell you that you may be orphans but you are not orphans because we are with you and will always provide all that you need. I will ensure the present administration under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris continues to provide your needs so that you do not miss out on anything that will warrant you all to feel the impact of not having your parents close” she said.
She therefore promised that henceforth, all orphans and vulnerable children in the state should consider the State Governor as their God given parents.
However the Wife of the Governor also paid a visit to the Remand Home , where she urged the children to turn a new leaf. She pray to God Almighty to prepare these children through the religion of Islam so that they can be of benefits to them self, there parents and to the society.
She assured that all there requests will be looked into and ensured that the State Governor gave them all the necessary attention they will ever need.
Speaking elear the head in charge of the remand home Malam Sanusi gave a brief history about the progress they have made in rehabilitating some of the children, and the challenges they are facing.
Highlights of the visit was presentation of foods items, toiletries, medical first aid and a token in other to improve there welfare.
