2023 : MALAMI DECLARES GOVERNORSHIP INTERESTS IN KEBBI.

Supporters and associates of the attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, have gathered a total sum of N130million as their support for his Kebbi 2023 governorship ambition, shortly after he declared his intention to contest the position under the APC.
A break down shows that women supporters in the State donated N30million while Malami Women Support Initiative (MAWOSI) donated the sum of N20 million. The two donatios were announced by leader of the MAWOSI, Hon.Halima Hassan Tukur.
The Association of serving councillors of the 225 wards in the state donated N25 million and the Association of former members of the State House of Assembly donated N5 miillion respectively.
Also, beneficiaries of AGSMIES loan facilitated by the Hon Attorney General of the Federation presented cash donation of Five million naira as donation to the Minister's intention.
While his friends and associates contributed the sum of N50million respectively as the donations were announced at a function in Birnin-Kebbi the State capital where the Minister formerly declared his intention before stakeholders of his party.
In his speech at the occasion, Malami said he has been a worthy ambassador of the people of Kebbi State while serving the nation at the Federal Executive Council level as the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation.
He explained that he has been receiving pressure form his teeming supporters and the patriotic people of Kebbi State calling on him to contest the governorship election in the state.
Pointing out that it was logical as he deemed it imperative to consult the stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress in the state in order for them to offer him their useful advice in shaping the future development of the state.
