KEBBI GOVT. RELEASES N3.97 BILLION FOR RETIREES PAYMENTS.
The Kebbi State government has released the total sum of N3,097,013,964.47 billion for the payment of retired civil servants who disengaged from the State service in 2019.
This followed the payment made in January this year for those who retired in 2017 and 2018 amounting to N381,778,623.68k.
In a press statement made available to news men by the Special Assistant to the Governor on media and publicity, Yahaya Sariki stated that the directives for the two payments were from the N6 billion earlier approved by the state Governor.
According to the statement, the Ag. Head of service, Safiyanu Garbage Bena explained that the directives for the payment was in line with the government policy on the general welfare of retired workers in the State.
