IN'T WOMEN'S DAY : BE COURAGEOUS, EMBRACE CHALLENGES....NAOWA

Army Officers wives under the umbrella of Nigeria Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA), 1Battalion Chapter of the Nigeria Army, Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi state has charged Officers Wives in the Battalion to be courageous and embrace challenges that may come their ways and move forward.
The Chairperson of the association, 1Battalion Barrack chapter, Birnin-Kebbi, Mrs Fatima Mohammed Dole gave this charge at the celebration of this year International Women's Day Celebration at the Officers Mess.
Mrs Dole expressed that the leadership of NAOWA as a key stakeholders, members participation in activities to mark the celebration is paramount.
She stated that 1Battalion Officers wives have been active in mobilizing barrack community especially women and youths to realize their potentials and be self employed.
The NAOWA boss stated further that, our association has been collaborating with other organizations, working together to achieve self reliance through economic empowerment.
She added that, "we have just concluded skills acquisitions and vocational training in collaboration with the Zaki's Gem support foundation, the NAOWA shopping complex has just been Commissioned and fully occupied by members of the barrack community at a subsidized rent."
In the area of fish farming, Mrs Dole explained that, "we have hatched some fishes, sold some fingerlings and left a good number for rearing".
Pointing out that the association also take part in all programmes and activities of organized women organizations in the State in order to foster unity among barrack women.
The celebration was attended by The Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Women Affairs, Hajia Aisha Muhammed Maikurata, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget Planning, Hajia Aisha Usman, Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Higher Education, Hajia Halima Boyi Dikko among other women.
