BAGUDU SWEARS IN ADMINISTRATORS FOR DEVELOPMENT AREAS IN KEBBI.

One month after the Conduct of Local Council Elections and the swearing in of elected Chairmen and Councilors in Kebbi State, governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu Monday swore in 27 Administrators for Area Development Councils across the State.
Bagudu who recalled that Area Development Councils were suspended two years ago due to insufficient funds averred that the State now have better appreciation of what can be done to generate more funds.
He noted that the newly swore in Administrators will do more to boost socio-economic development of the State, adding that this can only be done when the grassroots are fully involved.
Governor Bagudu therefore challenged them to be more diligent in the discharge of their duties to better the lives of their people, adding that they should kick the ground running since their appointment come close to the raining season.
In a related development, the governor also on Monday flagged off the disbursement of grants to 3,746 women to improve their livelyhood.
The grants totalling N96.41million was given to the women under the umbrella of 'women Affinity Group' in Maiyama, Argungu and Ngaski Local Government Areas of the State and the funds are given under the Nigeria Women Project, funded by the State, Federal government and the world bank.
