KEBBI, USA PARTNERS TO TRAIN 300 YOUTHS ON SOLAR POWER.

Kebbi State government in conjuction with United State of America have reached an agreement to train 300 Kebbi youths on solar energy system.
The State Commissiiner for Special Duties, Barrister Attahiru Maccido confirmed this at a ceremony to formally inaugurates the training programmes which is expected to last for 10 weeks.
Maccido explained that the selected youths which comprises of 150 young females and 150 young males will commence training immediately under the tutelage of the U.S.A company in the new month of Februry, 2022.
The Commissioner explained further that the State government is partnering with the solar energy deparment of Usman Dan Fodio Unuversity, Sokoto, adding that Kebbi State governor, Atiku Bagudu is working hard to ensure we start producing our solar panels here in the State and not to import them. "Therfore, the future is here."
Earlier, the Special Adviser on Power to The Governor, Alhaji Yusuf Haruna Rasheed urged participants to dedicate themselves fully to training, adding that this is a training that is worthy of dedication.
"As women, we deemed it necessary to start with you because you are the bedrock of society. When women are productive and contributing to the development of the society, surely, the sky is the limit for such a society as far as development is concerned." He said.
