Members of the newly created unit of the Human Rights in the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC Kebbi state command, paid a courtesy visit as a familiarization tour to the International Human Rights office, Kebbi state chapter, Wednesday 4th, November, in Birnin kebbi.
Kebbi state coordinator of the IHRC, Barrister A.A Fingilla, and officials of IHRC Kebbi state chapter received the officers. Fingilla commended the NSCDC for deeming it fit to establish the human rights unit in the corps, Kebbi state command.
He said this will ensure the adherence of the law in the course of discharge of their duties.
He equally assured members of the team that, IHRC Kebbi state chapter is ever ready to work hand in hand with the HRU of the NSCDC Kebbi state, to ensure that there's no breach of human rights in the discharge of their duty.
Earlier in his remarks, leader of the team, the Desk officer of the NSCDC HRU Kebbi state, Zubairu Abdullahi, stated the mission of their visit, and urge for working cooperation between the NSCDC HRU and the IHRC Kebbi state chapter.
Haruna Abdulahi the Legal officer, Hamza Bala 2ic human right, and Helen E. Mada of the operations department of the NSCD formed the team during the visit.
