Kebbi CP warns against use of knockouts, fireworks, firecrackers during the yuletide in the state


The commissioner of police Kebbi state command  CP Chris Aimionowane, warns residents against the use of knockouts, fireworks or firecrackers during the yuletide season in the state.

The CP issued the warning and directives towards fostering security during a meeting with the Area Commanders, DPO's and Tactical Commanders on Friday 22/12/2023.
 
This is contained in a press statement released to Newsmen by spokesperson of the command SP Nafi'u Abubakar on Friday.

The statement reads:

"In his determination to sustain the already existing peaceful atmosphere during the yuletide season, the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Chris Aimionowane, psc, mnips has today Friday, 22nd December, 2023, met with the Area Commanders,Dpos and tactical Commanders with a view to strengthening security architecture around religious and event/recreational centers throughout the length and breadth of the State".

"The  CP equally directed them to always collaborate with other relevant security agencies in deploying both human and material arsenals at their disposal to ensure that the purposes of visibility policing, rigorous stop and search, aggressive patrols, raiding of identified black spots and uncompleted buildings across the nooks and crannies of the State are achieved,thus bringing about the expected conducive atmosphere before, during and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations".

"While  felicitating with the Christian faithfuls in the State, the CP warns against the use of knockouts, fireworks or firecrackers during the yuletide season as the use may likely cause panic or apprehension in the minds of unsuspecting members of the public".
