KEBBI CP PRESENTS N46.42 MILLION CHEQUES TO FAMILIES OF SLAIN POLICEMEN.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) through his life Assurance Policy, has presented cheques of N46.42 million to the families of Policemen who died in various attack by bandits in Kebbi State.
Presenting the cheques on behalf of the IGP, the State Commissioner of Police, Hamed Magaji Kontagora explained that the group assurance policy and the IGP family welfare schemes is to take care of the welfare of the serving personnel and the families of the deceased officers.
"Today’s event is an assurance to the next of kin of the deceased Police officers that, the Force will always take care of her own. That even in death, we cherish and respect the supreme sacrifice those Officers made to the Command in particular and the nation at large, before their demise". He said.
He said further that " Iwish to reiterate that, the IGP is committed to the improvement of the welfare of the officers, hence this exercise, though sadly and regrettably, is a continuous one".
He therefore advised the families of the deceased Police officers to judiciously utilize the token given to them in ameliorating their financial needs.
