GENERAL BANDE (RTD) WINS PDP GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY IN KEBBI.

General Aminu Bande (rtd) has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) in Kebbi state.
The two star retired army general who Commanded 8th Division of the Nigeria Army, SOKOTO, before his retirement clinched the PDP governorship ticket after beating four other contestants in the party's primary election held in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
Bande polled 471 votes casted from the 21 local government areas delegates of the state to emerge as the PDP governorship candidate for Kebbi State.
Alhaji Ibrahim Manga who next to him polled 121 votes, Alhaji Buhari Bala polled 43 votes while the former sports minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of State, Alhaji Samaila Sambawa got 41votes. The fifth aspirant, Alhaji Haruna Ibrahim polled 22 votes.
While declaring Bande the winner of the primary election, Chairman Electoral Committee of the PDP, Peter Orubebe said the victorious candidate of the party for the Kebbi State Governorship Election after polling 471 votes out of a total of 696 votes casted by the delegates in the primary election is declared winner.
