2023 ELECTIONS : BAGUDU TO CHAIR TINUBU C'TTEE ON AGRICULTURE

APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu to chair the agricultural development committee of the presidential campaign council.

In a press statement made available to newsmen by the S.A Media to the State Governor, Yahaha Sarki stated that Asiwaju Tinubu announced the appointment in Minna, Niger State at a Town Hall meeting with farmers.

The statement stated that the meeting which was held at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference center (ICC) Minna, Niger State, drew 

farmers, fulanis, herdsmen and other groups from within and outside the state.

In another development, the Governor has  constituted a committee on transparent payment of leave grant  to Local Govt. and Local Government Education Auhority workers.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Acting Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

The constitution of the committee followed approval granted by the Governor for the payment of leave grant to all categories of workers amounting to over N2.5 billiion for the years 2021 and 2022 respectively.

The committee, which has already commenced sitting, comprises  representatives of the Office of the Head of Service, State Auditor General and his staff, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Local Government Service Commission and the organized labour.
