The Hisbah police in Yobe state on Thursday November 9 arrested suspected prostitutes in the state capital, Damaturu.
According to X user, the raid was carried out by the state Commissioner for Rleigious Affairs, Umar Potiskum.
He wrote
‘’Yesterday, the Yobe State HISBA (Hisbah) Agency conducted an operation in Damaturu, apprehending women and men involved in prostitution and alcoholism. The successful raid was led by Commissioner for Religious Affairs Alh. Umar Potiskum. The targeted areas included Zango, Maina Lodge, Ajayi, Last Bustop, and Bakin Kasuwa.''
