Chief Magistrate Samaila Kakale Mungadi, has sentenced the two convicts Nuhu Ahmed and Yazidu Ahmed to one year each for conspiracy, two years each for theft without option to pay fine after they were found guilty as charged under section 60, 272 of Kebbi state penal code. The two convicts will also pay a compensation of N971,000 out of which the receiver of the stolen items paid N350,000. The convicts will pay for the remaining balance or serve a period of two years each at a correctional facility.
The convicts will serve a total of five years in a correctional facility if they fail to pay the compensation.
