The Northern Christian Youths Professional Association (NYCP), Kebbi State chapter, has denied the allegation of campaigning for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu alone at the expense of the Candidate of APC in the State, Dr. Nasiru Idris. (Kauran Gwandu)
The Christian Youths group made this Known in an exclusive chat with newsmen in Birnin-Kebbi by its Secretary, Mr. Olaoluwa Oyewole shortly after their meeting with Kauran Gwandu campaign Team, Thursday.
Flanked by his State Coordinator, Mr. Simon Yusuf and Financial Secretary, Ademola Adeniji, Oyewole explained that it was not true that their campaign strategy is centered on Tinubu/Shetima only without including the State APC Governorship Candidate, Dr. Nasiru Idris and his running mate, Senator Umar Tafida.
"Our mandate here in Kebbi State is for Dr. Nasiru Idris ( Kauran Gwandu) and his running mate, Senator Umar Tafida, this is devoid of ethnicity, devoid of religion or other sentiments, this is based on antecedent based on capacity." He said.
He said further that, "it is absolutely impossible to work for Tinubu in this State in as much as we are domiciled here without working for the Governorship candidate and his running mate, Who we know have the capacity to turn the State economy around."
On former President Obasanjo endorsing Peter Obi of the Labour Party, the NYCP Scribe Said, Baba Obasnjo being an elder Stateman is entitled to his opinion pointing out that that opinion can never deterred the progressive minds.
"Baba has always being a man who wants to have a shot at every President who emerged after him, this he know he can never have one Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Shetima, hence he see that Peter Obi is gullible enough to support." He stated.
