IGBO COMMUNITY DAY : OKOWA DOLES OUT N5 MILLION TO IGBOS IN KEBBI.

Governor Ifeayin Okowa of Delta State and Vice Presidential Candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), last Sunday donated the sum of N5 million to the Igbo community cultural day and the end of 2022 celebration.
Okowa who was represented by the PDP Deputy Governorship candidate in 2023 general election and a member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Samaila Salihu Bui announced the cash donation onbehalf of Vice Presidential Candidate.
He said, he is very happy to hear that cordial relationship existed between the Igbos and indigens of Kebbi State over the years. Adding that continuity of such cordial relationships should be maintained at all times.
Appreciating the gesture done to them by the Delta State Governor, the Eze Ndigbo11 of Gwandu Emirate and Head of Igbos across Kebbi State, Chief Emerson Emeka Okafor expressed that this is the first time in history that a Vice Presidential Candidate of Igbo extraction will identified with his people who resides in the North.
Chief Okafor therefore called on all Igbos across the State to turn out in their large numbers come 17th of this month to grace his formal installation as the Eze Ndigbo11 of Gwandu, Kebbi State.
Speaking with newsmen after the ceremony, the President General of Igbo Community in the State, Chief Samuel Nnamani who spoke through the Community Spokesman, Franklin Omeh, thanked Ndigbo for their cooperation at all times.
Nnamani stated that the building of a N21 million new Eze Igbo council chamber and the N15 million revolving loans for members among other insentives, is good thing to happened in the lives of members.
He thanked their Host Community for their hospitality and prayed for a peaceful 2023 general elections.
