Bagudu on sympathy visit to IDPs in Kebbi
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State this Wednesday paid a sympathy visit to IDPS in Koko Besse local Government Area
The IDPs who were from Fakai local Government Area of Kebbi State and Kebbe local Government Area of Sokoto State fled their homes to seek refuge in Koko Besse following attacks by bandits.
Governor Bagudu in a sober voice sympathised with the IDPs, urged them to consider their plight as destined by God .
' I am here to sympathise with you over your situation and also see for myself your condition .
' Take heart, what happened to you is destined by God' , he said.
The Governor told the IDPs that the State Government would do its best to provide all their basic needs including food, water and medicine.
He directed the female Councillor in the local Government to also inquire about the needs of women particularly mothers with a view to assisting them.
Bagudu assured the IDPs that already he has directed deployment of more security personnel to provide adequate security to their villages.
He also advised youths not to p yaeddle rumours or false information to creat more panic within the community.
Earlier the Chairman KoKo Besse local Government, Hon Yahaya Bello Koko and that of Fakai, Hon Umaru Magaji Marafa thanked the governor for the visit.
The Chairman of Koko, Hon Yahaya Bello Koko was particularly grateful to the governor for his quick response and visit to the area.
He also assured the IDPs that more security personnel have been deployed to their villages to protect them .
The Chairman outlined the names of the villages where the IDPs come from Fakai as Koramawa, Bangu,Jigawa Fakai, Jahala, Garin Salihu, Garin Isa, Matseri, Noman Kawo and Maigaraya.
According to him, the villages from Kebbe of Sokoto State were, Tsangi, Nasaba, Bakin Dutsi,Tulluwa, Bashe, Tungar Arewa, Rawiya, Kwabo and Jigawa Kebe
