Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has appealed To Muslims and Christian leaders to preach the gospel of love, tolerance and peaceful coexistence among their followers irrespective of their ethnic background.
Bagudu who made this appeal in Zuru town the Headquarters of Zuru Emirate Council of Kebbi State averred that his administration appreciate them for their fervent prayers for peace and understanding.
"I really appreciate your diligent efforts in praying for peace and I urge you to continue to preach for peace, tolerance and understanding amongst the people of the State". He said.
The governor explained that the security challenges bedeviling the country is not peculiar to Nigeria alone as other African Countries like Mali and Burkina Faso are facing similar challenges.
He enjoined them to shun rumors mongering and spread of fake news which according to him is very detrimental to our peaceful coexistence and seriously threat to the operations of the Security men.
The Deputy Governor, Samila Yombe Dabai, Senator Muhammadu Magoro, Ag. Head of Service, Garba Bena, APC State Chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Hassan Shalla, Special Adviser on Security to the State government, Garba Rabiu Kamba among others attended the meeting.
