KEBBI COUNCIL POLLS : MALAMI, NUT PRSIDENT URGES ACCEPTANCE OF RESULTS.

As people Of Kebbi State awaits the announcement of last Saturday local Council elections, top politicians of the State origin have called for display of maturity whenever the results are announced.
Among those who spoke to newsmen on Sunday are the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami who commended the conduct of the elections and display of maturity and orderliness exhibited by voters. He therefore urged Political parties that fielded candidates to accept the outcome of the results in good faith.
Also the National President of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) Dr. Nasiru Idris while fielding questions from newsmen also described the conduct of the election as peaceful and satisfactory, adding that maturity and orderliness exhibited by politicians and their followers was very impressive.
"I am so excited that our people came out in their large numbers to vote for the people of their choice to elect Chairmen and Councilors who would govern them for the next three years." He said.
Meanwhile as at the time of filling this report on Sunday afternoon, activities at the office of the State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC) was huge as officials are still receiving results from the interior parts of the State.
A senior officer of the Electoral body who pleased annonimity said there are some terrains in the State difficult to access therefore their results are just coming in and every members here are now busy coalating results which would be announced by the Commission to the public as soon as possible.
