NGO DISTRIBUTES 600 BAGS OF RICE TO CHRISTIANS IN KEBBI.

The Khadimiyya for Justice and Development Initiative (KJDI) a non governmental organisation (NGO) based in Kebbi State has distributed over 600 bags of perboiled rice to Christians community in the State through the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kebbi State Chapter.

Speaking at the distribution ceremony at the premises of the NGO, Malam Isiaku Abdullahi who stood in for the founder of the NGO, Abubakar Malami, stated that the gesture which was first of its kind in the history of NGOs in the State are meant for the poor and downtrodden Christian faithfuls to enable them feels the pulse of Christmas.

Mallam Abdullahi explained that the Khadimiyya Foundation has taken it upon itself to reachout to Christians in the State and identify with them as they celebrate Christmas, adding that this is the first time in history of The state an NGO will identify With Christians across The state.

He explained further that the Founder of the organisation who is also the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami has promised that under his watch the Christian community in Kebbi State would be accorded full priority in any programme that is meant to uplift the living standard of Christians across the State.

Responding, the Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kebbi State chapter, Dr (Rev) Ayuba Kanta expressed gratitude for the honour done to the Christian Community in the State by the honorable Minister through his Foundation, pointing out that the gift would directly go to the targets audience who are the most needy in the house of God.

Reverend Kanta preyed that as God in his infinite mercy has touched the heart of the Minister to remember the  Christians in the State during this difficult time in history of Nigeria, the almighty God would touch him in his services for humanity and humanitarian endeavours.

The CAN Chairman assured the Minister 

 Christian community in Kebbi State would be ready to identify with him in both his present and future ambitions.

The highlight of the occasion was the collection of bags of rice by the representatives of Christians in each of the 21 LGAs of the State.
